Vitalis team helping bring to life the fourth Radisson Blu Hotel in Romania

Being the second largest cities in Romania and one of our most developed regions from an economical point of view, Cluj-Napoca has reached in latest years a great popularity for both business and leisure tourists.

The interest of hospitality developers and investors in the regional capital of Transylvania has registered a significant growth, one of the most valuable projects in the area being the upgrade of Hotel Sport that will be opened under Radisson Blu upper upscale hotel brand, as it was recently announced.

The opening will represent the fourth Radisson Blu property in Romania and the first upper upscale hotel brand in Cluj-Napoca, building on Radisson Blu’s leading position as the largest upper upscale hotel brand in Europe.

Hotel Sport is one of the oldest buildings from hospitality sector in Cluj-Napoca, developed in early ’80, benefiting from great accessibility and abundant flow of tourists, due to its positioning in the historic center of the city, near to Cluj Arena Stadium.

When being closed for renovation Hotel Sport consisted in 136 rooms disposed on 8 floors, a restaurant totalizing 150 seats and two conference rooms of 40 seats each. After the renovation process, the new Radisson Blu hotel will feature 149 guestrooms, with a mix of standard, executive, suite and VIP apartment room types for all travellers.

The hotel will also include exclusive leisure and dining facilities such as a fine specialty restaurant and a fitness room, while business and events guests will benefit from hi-tech conference rooms and a 350 sq. m ballroom for up to 300 guests.
