Romanian Retail Real Estate Forum 2017

Florin Popa, Vitalis Consulting’s General Manager, will participate as a speaker in the first session of the “Retail Real Estate Forum” conference, organized by GOVNET, treating the topic of new tendencies in the Romanian retail industry, from a construction manager perspective.

The 2017 edition of Retail Real Estate Forum will gather together representatives of shopping centers, major retail developers, top representatives of the most important retailers active in Romania, senior real estate consultants, representatives of banks and financial institutions, representatives of the authorities regulating the construction sector, project managers and industry professionals, to openly debate the new trends in the retail development sector, with the main purpose of drawing significant lines for the evolution of Romanian retail market.

The Romanian retail industry is currently suffering fundamental changes caused by the large amount of modifications in the consumer’s shopping habits. The technological innovations and the expansion of e-commerce techniques are willing to disrupt the normal functioning of shopping centers strategies, creating the need of a stronger collaboration between developers, retailers and other third parties involved.

The event will take place on Thursday, October 26, starting at 9 a.m. at the Intercontinental Hotel, Fortuna Hall, on 21st floor.

Vitalis is currently coordinating the execution works for one of the biggest commercial centers in Romania with a total area of approx. 37,000 GBA. The shopping center will be delivered in December this year and will have around 80 tenants, such as: Carrefour, Cinema City, Pepco, Maxbet, Hervis, Deichmann, etc.

In addition, Vitalis offers Project and Cost Management services for Bistrita Retail Park, a 8,000 sq. m retail development, having around 19 tenants until this moment. Started in October 2016, the project is estimated to be delivered in March 2018.
